Nirvir Khosa
MC, RCC
Child & Family Counsellor
Counselling Associate

Whether I’m working directly with your child or supporting you as a caregiver, my goal is always to
create a warm, encouraging space where your family feels supported. It’s a privilege to be part of your
journey, and I’m honoured to walk alongside you.
Nirvir Khosa is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. She uses
warmth, inclusivity, and curiosity while bringing her authentic self to the therapeutic relationship. She
recognizes that each individual's experiences, and perceptions are unique, creating a nurturing and
safe environment. As a first-generation woman from a South Asian immigrant family, Nirvir brings a
deep understanding of the complexities that can arise when navigating multiple cultural identities,
generational expectations, and personal well-being. Her lived experience shapes her compassionate,
culturally responsive approach to counselling.
Nirvir has supported children, youth, and families in schools and counselling settings, including roles at Foundry, where she co-facilitated caregiver and CBT groups, and as a Youth Worker at Sources Family Connection Centre, assisting residents with chronic mental illness. In the Chilliwack School District, she worked as an Educational Assistant, helping students with special needs develop academically and socially. These experiences have deepened her understanding of the unique emotional and developmental needs of children and youth.
Nirvir is especially passionate about supporting children, youth, and families who are exploring their
sense of self, working through intergenerational challenges, seeking support with challenges at school,
neurodiversity, anxiety, depression. She understands how difficult it can be to ask for help—especially
when mental health may not always be openly discussed in one’s community. Nirvir strives to create a
safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen and respected.
With training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion
Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Nirvir supports clients
through a range of concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, mindfulness, neurodivergence, self-
compassion, family conflict, emotional dysregulations, and life transitions. Whether you or your child are navigating
complex emotions, unpacking cultural expectations, or simply looking for a space to reflect and grow,
she is here to walk alongside you.
